      Job Description:

      The Division of Workforce Development at STCC seeks an innovative, collaborative, and proven leader to serve as the Director of Instruction and Assessment. The Director will ensure high quality culturally responsive teaching and learning. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Workforce Development, the Director will lead the implementation of curriculum, assessments, and rigorous standards-based & data driven instruction.

      The Director serves as a key Workforce Development Division leader charged with delivering excellent instructional and assessment services, actively contributing to our institution-wide enrollment, retention and completion efforts as well as our diversity, inclusivity, and equity goals. The Director works comprehensively across the division and all funding streams to facilitate integrated leadership regardless of the audience (participants, Workforce/division staff and instructors; DESE; DHE; MassHire; Federal; STCC full-time faculty; college administrators, etc.)

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      The Director of Instruction and Assessment is responsible for supervising and managing the Instructors, Tutors, Substitutes, Lab Assistants, Proctors, and other staff as assigned.

      WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

      Work is generally performed in an office setting with comfortable environmental conditions. This position is stationary 50% of the time and frequently needs to move about inside the office department, and throughout the campus community, and outside of campus as needed. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, i.e. calculator, copier, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates and interacts with employees, faculty and the students in person and/or virtually.


      Additional Information:

      Salary: $80,000 $85,000 annually
      Benefits: Yes, Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Position requires evening and/or weekend support services, on and off campus events in the region and Commonwealth, and flexibility to work hours as needed to perform the tasks associated with the position. Occasional travel required on behalf of the College.
