      ABOUT THE ROLE
      In this newly created position, the Director of Internal Communications will create firmwide strategic communication, engagement and change strategies to enhance employee engagement. A successful candidate will have a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to understand and communicate Bridgespan’s strategies, priorities and impact. The Director of Internal Communication must also develop strong partnerships with senior leaders to ensure messaging looks and feels consistent with our vision and organizational goals. This role will require deep expertise in Internal Communications, and a vision for how to engage employees across a wide range of teams, roles and geographies
      RESPONSIBILITIES
      Design and establish an internal communication strategy
      • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to set an initial communications strategy to:
      • Internally engage, align and inspire employees
      • Externally share updates, people spotlights and impact stories with our alumni and client network
      • Create a roadmap for how Bridgespan will use various communications channels (e.g., Teams, Sharepoint) for sharing news and storing information with the goal simplifying how employees access information and reducing firm email traffic
      • Support change management within the firm as it relates to adopting new communications channels
      • Design, manage and update a calendar of firm-wide meetings and events for information dissemination. Coordinate across Bridgespan’s six offices
      • Manage third-party communication vendors, as necessary

      Inform our audiences through proactive, effective communication

      • Write original communications and review/edit key communication from leadership team to ensure consistent voice and tone
      • Project manage own communications as well as communications of senior leaders to ensure communications are distributed on time and aligned with strategy
      • Ensure that information on intranet is kept up to date
      • Use relevant communications channels, templates and materials and improve them (and related processes) as necessary
      Innovate and grow the internal communication function
      • Launch and maintain new communications forums including full organization and regional meetings and video messages
      • Stay abreast of leading practices in internal communications
      • Partner as needed with our Marketing team to help design digital content for communication
      • Track, report and innovate on effectiveness of communications
      REQUIREMENTS
      • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications required, advanced degree preferred
      • 12+ years of communications experience
      • Superior writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to coach others to do the same
      • Demonstrated success in storytelling - through narrative, data-based, and presentation- related channels
      • Tech savvy mindset and the ability to modernize practices
      • Ability to influence across different organization levels and contribute to others' communication development
      • Proven ability to develop and implement communications strategies
      • High competence in project and stakeholder management
      • Enthusiasm for Bridgespan’s organizational values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
      • Experience in adapting to cultural context and crafting messages that feel inclusive across Bridgespan’s diverse and vibrant global community
      • Experience in multi-country organization(s) preferred
      • Stellar Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint
