Job Description

- Preferred qualifications include a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), Licensed Therapist, or Special Educator, but consideration will be given to candidates with a background in Sports and Recreational Leadership.
- Minimum Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Developmentally Delayed and Autism Spectrum Disorder communities, specifically toddlers, youth and teens.
- Previous camp and afterschool enrichment program development required.
- Strong background in program development, with grant writing experience highly preferred.
- Outgoing, creative, and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to multitask.
- Strong community relations and marketing abilities.
- Strong computer competency.
- Develop, implement, supervise, and oversee all aspects of the Kids Like Me programs, which includes camps, afterschool programs, social skill groups, and family events.
- Assess the needs of the community and design new programs, program policies, and procedures to address those needs.
- Ensure program quality and compliance, including program activities, content, implementation, staffing, equipment, supplies, and resources.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of necessary documentation and reports.
- Implement methods for program evaluation.
- Recruit, train, and provide oversight and supervision of program staff and volunteers.
- Collaborate and interface with Help Group and external agency staff and consumers.
- Continuously search for grants and other funding sources to enhance access to camps/enrichment programs.
- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies and efforts, including promotional materials to publicize Kids Like Me programs to both the internal and wider communities.
- Conduct phone screenings, interviews, and intake meetings for potential Kids Like Me clients.
- Address and resolve parent, consumer, and staff problems, concerns, and complaints related to Kids Like Me Programs.
- Ensure that all functions are conducted in accordance with Agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Adjust work schedules or hours as needed to benefit the program, with approval from the Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
