      As the Director of Lean Management Operating Systems, your role will be to harmonize the deployment of our world-class Tyson Lean MOS program and identify/implement improvements to our manufacturing plants that will allow for improved performance around Safety, People Engagement, Quality, Delivery and Cost. You will work alongside our Businesses and Technology partners in the identification, design and implementation of solutions across plants in our Tyson’s Business Units – Poultry, Prepared Foods and Fresh Meats

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      The Director of Lean Management Operating Systems will manage the teams responsible for the design, update, and implementation of Tyson Lean MOS across the entire manufacturing enterprise. S/He will also be responsible to directly manage a team of CI personnel who directly partner with Plant Operations and Headquarter leaders to effectively deploy the approved Lean MOS processes to improve performance for Tyson’s plants across a host of operational metrics.

      Specifically, this leader will:

      • Define, lead and coordinate Lean MOS initiatives in close collaboration with Plants, Technology and Headquarter Teams.

      • Support the manufacturing sites in their Lean and digital transformational journey.

      • Lead diagnostics and coordinate transformations where needed in Capacity, Safety, Quality, Productivity, People engagement, Asset Care/Maintenance.

      • Partner with IT, Automation and other Enterprise teams to define the standardized approach and execute implementation of Digital solutions for Manufacturing.

      • Build, collaborate and orchestrate highly innovative, multidisciplinary teams to validate innovative concepts and lean/digital solutions being developed for the factory shop floor.

      • Develop and maintain the library of use cases that can readily be deployed in other manufacturing sites based on criteria identification.

      • Contribute and be an active participant of the broad Business Development Centers of Excellence that also include Engineering Standards, Maintenance and Reliability, Enterprise Inventory Management and Continuous Improvement

      • This position will lead deployment of the Lean MOS policy deployment across all business and functional levels of Senior Leadership, be a strategic peer to the Operations GMD’s and VP’s.

      • Must ensure the Tyson Lean MOS program gets deployed in a standardized method, while delivering incremental improvements to the plant KPI’s.

      • Demonstrated track record of both developing and executing innovative strategies to deliver outstanding top and bottom-line results.

      • Proven ability to work cross- functionally to achieve transformational goals.

      • All other duties as assigned.

      Requirements:

      • Prefer a 4-year degree and/or 10+ years of experience in Operations as a management leader, along with experience in continuous improvement and change management.

      • Demonstrated experience integrating and implementing process and technology solutions in manufacturing environment.

      • Recognized for one's ability to ‘influence to impact’ and communicate in a multilevel, multicultural environment.

      • Data Driven and results oriented; strong problem solving and analytical skills.

      • Deep knowledge of lean and operating systems and technology driven processes within area of responsibility

      • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

      • Excellent interpersonal and consensus building skills.

      • Strong negotiation skills and a diplomatic ability to manage conflict.

      • Team player with a positive attitude, positive energy, and burgeoning enthusiasm.

      • Highly self-motivated and directed.

      • 80%+ travel expected.
