      The Director of Loss Prevention is responsible for the entire Loss Prevention Department at Royal Farms. This position exists to minimize and prevent loss at Royal Farms. This position is to assist in minimizing and preventing loss through the 100% execution of company brand standards in policies and procedures in conjunction with the best known practices in the Loss Prevention fields in the workplace. The areas of responsibility but not limited to are Robberies, Tobacco, Alcohol & Alarm fines, Money Order Compliance (AML) , PCI compliance, Cash, Shrink (Grocery, Cigarettes, GTG Grocery, Package Beverage, Other Tobacco Product, Lottery, Beer/Wine, Deli, Beverage and Chicken) and Bad Merchandise. Also, is in charge of the inventory auditing process, Camera and Safe systems. Works with other departments in streamlining processes that effect areas of responsibilities in Loss Prevention and Risk Management; as well as, Royal Farms as a whole. This position is also a liaison to law enforcement, courts, prosecutors and local communities. Duties and responsibilities • Shrink – Monitors and analyzes shrink for the entire company. Sends investigators to locations that need assistance. Works with operations to control shrink. • Cash – Monitors and analyzes cash for the entire company (register, deposit, credit card, EBT, Lottery, coupons). Sends investigators to locations that need assistance. Works with operations to control cash. • Waste – Monitors and analyzes waste for the entire company. Works with operations to control waste. • Robberies – Monitors and analyzes robberies and assists local law enforcement and courts in robbery and violent incidents. • Theft Schemes – Monitors scams through organized retail crime groups (phone scams, refund fraud, etc…) • Inventory Control – Teaches inventory control classes for all operational leadership on a monthly basis. • Forward Thinking Projects – Monitors and helps implement changes associated with inventory, shrink, waste and cash handling projects to streamline processes and make things more secure. • PDI Enterprise Expert – Uses PDI connections and attends training on PDI functionality with a primary focus on the PDI handheld device and inventory control. • Inventory Crew Process – Make sure the data collected during the inventory crew audit process is accurate and as streamlined and as efficient as possible. • Anti-Money Laundering & Bank Secrecy Act Compliance– Compliance officer for Royal Farms for AML compliance. Reviews money Order sales and compliance related to anti-money laundering and bank secrecy act. Keeps up to date on AML requirements and makes sure our policies manual is within federal and state guidelines. Works with the IRS when they audit our stores to provide all documentation on our compliance program. Works with Money Gram account representative for their annual inspection on our compliance program. Electronically files suspicious activity reports to the IRS when needed. • Tobacco & Alcohol Fines – Respond to the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) on behalf of Royal Farms for violations associated with tobacco & alcohol sales. Makes sure all violations are addressed and fines are paid. • Alarm Fines – Monitors false alarm issues and makes sure fines are paid. • Alarm monitoring company – Makes sure all stores have the proper monitoring in place for emergency situations. Updates alarm call list and alarm activation reports. • Safe – Makes sure safe is providing the proper resource to operations to handle cash transactions and get the money to the bank. Work with IT to improve functionality with the safe with remote functionality and reporting. • Camera System – Makes sure the camera systems in the stores is the proper tool needed to properly investigate, gather evidence and do the basic functions of the loss prevention and risk management department. Also make sure the system gives good operational support with training, POS integration, and remote access. • Armor Car –Monitors armor car services to make sure operations is being serviced for deposit pick-ups and change delivery. • Budget – Monitors LP & RM budget monthly and reviews/signs bills • Legal Representative – Is a liaison with local law enforcement and states attorneys on criminal cases. • Key Control – Maintains key control security for the stores and corporate facilities. • Construction & Remodel – Organizes all LP & RM responsibilities are accomplished with all new store construction and remodels (account set up, equipment, services, safe, camera system and training). • Supervises the Assistant Director of Safety, Senior LP Investigator, LP Investigator (2) and Inventory Manager. • Conduct weekly tactical meetings with staff to keep focus on measures, goals and projects. Qualifications include: • Education – College education required. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree • Specialized knowledge – Must have specialized knowledge in Loss Prevention, Safety, OSHA, Inventory control, PDI handheld and PDI Enterprise system related to the flow of inventory. Also, must have expert knowledge in Camera Systems, Point of Sale, and Safe systems. • Skills – Must have good communication skills (written and verbal) as well as problem solving and analytical skills.
