- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in designing and implementing strategic marketing plans.
- Expertise with managing, updating and designing Wordpress websites.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong digital marketing expertise, including SEO, and social media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and significant experience with content marketing.
- Strong public relations experience and connections within NJ a plus.
- Creative thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Position Summary – As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive NJII brand awareness, support NJII divisions, and support the overall growth of our business. You will lead a small marketing team and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our marketing efforts align with the company's goals and objectives. It is expected that the Director not only leads and develops strategy but can also execute on individual assignments and is proficient in all the skills described below.

Essential Functions –
Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the company's goals and growth objectives. The marketing strategy will be heavily reliant on content marketing and improving SEO. You will be expected to design a multifaceted content marketing strategy that leverages NJII’s various resources and assets.
Brand Management: Cultivate, streamline and strengthen the NJII brand, ensuring it is consistently represented across all channels and materials. Routinely interact with key trade journals and stakeholders in New Jersey to get high impact placements.
Lead Generation: Drive lead generation efforts through various marketing channels, including digital marketing, content marketing, events, and more.
Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling and relevant content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and videos.
Digital Marketing: Manage digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, email marketing, social media, and the NJII websites.
Trade Shows and Conferences: Work closely with our division leaders to develop marketing collateral and messaging that supports our mission. Organize and attend key trade shows and conferences as well as onsite meetings and presentations.
Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Collaboration: Collaborate with division leaders to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business objectives.
