      Director of Marketing


      Classification: Staff / Salaried / Exempt / Full-time

      Reports to: Chief of Staff


      Summary:

      The Marketing Director will work collaboratively with university leaders to develop, implement, and analyze marketing and promotional activities that enhance the university’s reputation and increase its visibility. This includes the oversight of multi-channel advertising campaigns, the university’s website and social media platforms, creation and production of marketing collateral, event environmental and campus wayfaring, and regular research on the latest trends in higher education marketing.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. Serve as the brand steward of the university and ensure alignment across all marketing collateral and efforts.

      2. Ensure that evaluation systems, including benchmarks, are in place related to marketing goals and financial objectives in alignment with the university’s goals and objectives and report progress to the Chief of Staff.

      3. Develop a strategic annual marketing plan and related budget.

      4. Actively engage to discover the latest innovations in higher education marketing and consistently evaluate areas for enhancement.

      5. Provide vision and direction to a professional marketing support staff through clear communication, ready assistance, and empowerment.

      Qualifications:

      1. Understand, appreciate, and articulate the mission of Evangel University

      2. Exceptional ability to work collaboratively to complete projects and the ability to work with a broad range of individuals, including vice presidents, department chairs, faculty, staff, and students.

      3. Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the execution of marketing-related activities.

      4. Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials.

      5. Experience working with external vendors to facilitate promotional merchandise orders.

      6. Excellent oral and written communications skills.

      7. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

      Other:

      1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, and/or public relations preferred.

      2. Experience working with website content management systems.

      3. Experience working with project management systems.
