      Woodland Community College is seeking a courageous and visionary leader to successfully lead college institutional effectiveness activities resulting in continuously improving levels of student success. Woodland Community College is considering applicants from across the nation who have a demonstrated track record of success for leading institutions through systematic change.

      BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, the Director of Matriculation and EOPS/CARE Program is responsible for providing leadership in the ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of categorical and other support programs at Woodland Community College. The College is implementing an Educational Master Plan and this position plays a key role in supporting this plan. Essential functions will include general program management, coordinating the inclusion of special programs, annual College Action Plans, submitting program reviews, and ensuring special program inclusion in the College Student Equity Plan. The Director of Matriculation and EOPS/CARE Program is also responsible for the development of procedures and policies to increase the effectiveness of the College’s Student Services area and ensure student needs are met. The Director of Matriculation and EOPS/CARE Program is responsible for supervising staff and overseeing the day-to-day and programmatic areas of Admissions and Records, EOPS/CARE, the Food Pantry, Outreach and Retention and other duties as assigned.

      The Ability to Create Lasting Change within the College: Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, the Director of Matriculation and EOPS/CARE Program will be committed to identifying gaps in student outcomes on the basis of factors such as race, ethnicity and gender, and then mobilize the College to improve results.

      Strategic Vision for the College and Its Students, Reflected in External Partnerships: Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, the Director of Matriculation and EOPS/CARE Program will leverage the institution’s influence and resources to pave the way for ongoing student access and success by forging partnerships with outside entities, including K-12 school districts, four-year colleges, community- based organizations and employers.

      Raise and Allocate Resources in Ways Aligned to Student Success: Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, the Director of Matriculation and EOPS/CARE Program will develop resources to achieve significantly improved student outcomes by implementing well- designed institutional changes at scale, and ensuring they are embedded for the long term.
