      BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Director of MLTSS IDD Programs. In this critical role, you’ll lead the development, coordination, implementation, and completion of large projects for all BlueCare MLTSS (Managed Long Term Services & Supports) IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) programs at BCBST (including ECF CHOICES, Katie Beckett, and SelectCommunity). Our ideal candidate will serve as a thought leader and MLTSS IDD subject matter expert, bringing fresh perspectives on the ways we support our members and translating enterprise objectives into program improvements.

      Note: We are a remote-first organization, but this role will require at least quarterly travel across Tennessee (Nashville, Chattanooga). Additionally, qualified candidates will need to reside in Tennessee (or be open to relocation here).

      Job Responsibilities

      • Identifies and designs new strategies to support IDD population.
      • Directs the development and implementation of new initiatives and monitors ongoing performance of all aspects of the IDD programs to ensure projects are implemented, accepted, and accomplished within set deadlines, ensuring that quality standards and goals are achieved
      • Establishes processes, procedures, and practices for teams to follow within the program ensuring adherence to all contractual and accreditation requirements and standards
      • Ensures that all relevant areas within the program strategies are supported and consistent with organizational business goals and regulations.
      • Serves as IDD subject matter expert and builds bridges across all areas within the organization. Translates corporate objectives into program objectives and practices

      Job Qualifications

      Education

      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment

      Experience

      • 5 years - Management and/or leadership experience required
      • 3 years - Experience in the LTSS program required
      • 3 years - Experience with CMS, Medicaid and Medicaid LTSS regulations and contract management required
      • 3 years - Experience with Medicaid/Waiver IDD programs required

      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
