- Supervise the assisted living operations of an assigned site including residents, staff and the coordination of assisted living and housing interactions.
- Ensure compliance with Minnesota Department of Health Assisted Living regulations and statutes and with agency policies and procedures.
- Observe budgetary guidelines and provide accurate reporting of expenses, coding and timely submission through proper channels. Assist with billing of services as needed.
- Supervise staff and participate in hiring and selection, recognition and counseling as needed.
- Define staffing ratios based on client acuity and service requirements.
- Ensure staff education regarding Assisted Living Regulations and Statute requirements.
- Develop appropriate communication tools for staff to ensure best quality care for residents.
- Complete initial and regular assessments of residents to assure their needs will be met, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act.
- Communicate to physicians and other appropriate personnel (e.g., county caseworkers, families, and responsible parties) changes in resident needs or conditions.
- Facilitate coordination of resident services with other service providers.

- Identify and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Monitor for and address any safety hazards that exist in staff or residents’ habits and activities of daily living and in the building environment.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management.
- Ensure proper billing practices and procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Required to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota, or the ability to procure within a specified period, and must maintain licensure.
- Two or more years of experience in a similar position and in a similar care environment is preferred.
- One-year previous related experience in a supervisory position and in a similar care environment is highly preferred.
- Current CPR certification preferred, upon hire certification required.
- Flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.
- Good general nursing skills and proficiency in Assisted Living nursing.
- Initiative and judgment in determining the needs of residents and maintaining patient care delivery in conformance with recognized standards.
- Able to adhere to the Homecare Bill of Rights, HIPAA, and the Nurse Practice Act. Able to comply with established Infection Control and Safety Guidelines. Able to keep current on changes in the industry, including clinical and regulatory changes.
- Able to work as an effective and proactive team player; understands the importance of supporting the organization, residents/families/customers and other Sholom employees.
- Able to display high levels of customer service and interpersonal skills responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization in accordance with our PROUD standards.
- Work at a desk for extended periods and perform long hours of work on a computer. Frequently stand and walk to move around office/building repeatedly throughout the day.
- Perform light work, with occasional or negligible lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends as required including attending events/meetings as needed.
- Must be able to use a thermometer, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, wheelchair, patient lifts, and related medical equipment.
- Proficient in using a telephone, computer, and standard office equipment.

SUMMARY
The Director of Nursing, Assisted Living Services is responsible for the operations of our Roitenberg Family Assisted Living facility in St. Louis Park, MN. These operations include ensuring residents needs are met, staff supervision, and ensure coordination of assisted living and housing interactions.
Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 annual salary based on experience. This position includes at $10,000.00 Sign on Bonus.
Hours: 40 hours/week. 7:00am-4:00pm or until business needs are met.
