Administration Office - Develops, implements and oversees the school district's curriculum and instruction programs in accordance with District goals and objectives, as well as with applicable laws.
- Directs the curriculum development and revision process in the district in accordance with the District's curriculum development plan/cycle and state and national standards.
- Plans, coordinates and directs the professional development program and activities in the District, as well as continuing education for certified staff, promoting a focus on student learning and professional growth.
- Directs the selection and adoption of instructional materials, textbooks, and media and software materials for the District.
- Interprets, evaluates and analyzes student assessment and program evaluation results for the purpose of improving instruction and student achievement in the District.
- Coordinates the development and implementation of effective and efficient assessment systems and data collection processes that provide a record of baseline measures and track longitudinal trends.
- Ensures that curriculum and instruction incorporate the experiences, culture, history and perspectives of people from various cultures and backgrounds.
- Oversees and coordinates the evaluation of certified staff and provides assistance and resource services to the District-wide evaluation of staff.
- Participates in the analysis and recommendations derived from the District testing programs.
- Oversees various programs: Homeless, ELL,GT, and others assigned.
- Works with administrators to coordinate professional staff recognition programs.
- Assists in the recruitment and selection of certified personnel.
- Communicates the latest developments in curriculum and innovative instructional programs to improve student achievement.
- Acts as a resource person to other central administrative staff in the development and implementation of administrative practices, policies and procedures for the District.
- Directs the development and management of state and federal grant proposals and budgets.
- Implements and monitors federal and state requirements and regulations pertaining to instructional programs, professional development and curriculum standards.
- Prepares monthly operating statements, quarterly reports, and other information or documents as requested or required.
- Assists in developing and administering procedures for inventory and the purchase of supplies and equipment.
- Assists in maintaining information regarding the demographics of students in the school district, including the current and projected student enrollment in each school district, staffing needs, and building needs.
- Assists in the review of district goals and objectives, as well as the evaluation/assessment of school programs for the purpose of preparing program evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Assists in managing all safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices for the purpose of ensure a safe environment for employees and students in their use of school facilities and transportation, and to comply with legal requirements (e.g., OSHA and Workers' Compensation).
- Oversees the school district's transportation programs as directed, including bus routes, schedules and contracts to ensure that the school district has an adequate and cost-effective student transportation system.
- Represents the school district as necessary in off-site meetings, associations, etc.
- Attends School Board and other school district meetings as requested.
- Manage and supervises all employees in responsibility areas, including the recruitment, selection, training, professional development and evaluation of staff; makes recommendations regarding goals, provides constructive feedback and takes corrective action if necessary.
- Continue to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments related to the position by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research (e.g., price trends, market conditions, supply sources, trends in collective bargaining).
- Manages emergency situations as necessary on any matter that requires immediate action or that is not covered by Board policies or school district procedures.
- Makes administrative decisions within the school necessary to the proper function of the school district.
- Make such rules and gives such instructions to school employees and students as may be necessary to implement Board policy.
- Conducts a periodic audit of the total school program and advises the Board on recommendations for the educational advancement of the schools.
- Recommends to the Board for its adoption all courses of study, curriculum guides, and major changes in texts and time schedules to be used in the schools.
- Prescribes rules for the classification and advancement of students, and for the transfer of students from one building to another in accordance with published policies.
- Supervises methods of teaching, supervision, and administration in effect in the schools.
- Establish and administers the school district's evaluation and performance management programs to ensure that standards of employee performance are maintained, constructive feedback is provided and corrective action taken when necessary.
- Provides suitable instructions and regulations to govern the use and care of school properties.
- Make recommendations to the Board concerning the transportation of pupils in accordance with the law and the requirements of safety.
- Keeps informed of modern educational thought and practices by advanced study, by visiting school systems elsewhere, by attending educational conferences, and by other appropriate means, and keeps the Board informed of trends in education.
- Establishes and maintains a program of public relations to keep the public well-informed of the activities and needs of the school district, establishing a cooperative working relationship between the schools and the community.
- Keeps the public informed about modern educational practices, educational trends, and the policies, practices, and problems in the district's schools.
- Oklahoma State Certification as an Administrator required for position.
- Motor Vehicle operator's license or ability to provide own transportation.
- TLE Teacher Evaluation Certified
- Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Sixth year, doctorate, or other planned program in curriculum and instruction or educational leadership preferred.
- Superintendent Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Extensive successful experience in education administration.

Director of Operations, Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Transportation
Position Purpose
Under general supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to develop, implement, direct, supervise, and coordinate the curriculum and instructional programs for the School District, and to develop and implement the district-wide professional development programs, consistent with the district goals as well as applicable laws. Assist in managing the Business Services functions of the district, including budget and finance, purchasing, facilities, transportation, food services, and safety and risk management, as needed.
