      Job Description

      Description of the Position:
      The Director of Operations is responsible for managing all aspects of a multi-site supply chain
      operation. The Director of Operations will provide overall direction and oversight in the areas of
      performance, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and Associate
      development. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report
      noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules
      and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

      Evaluate overall operations and develop short- and long-term goals to meet organizational
      objectives. Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations
      to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
      • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and
      effectiveness, and profitability.
      • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property.
      Ensure compliance with all company, customer and government/regulatory requirements.
      • Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
      • Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels -- managing labor costs, overtime
      and retention.
      • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance
      when observed.
      • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
      • Other duties as assigned

      • Salary range - $134k - $178k
      • 20% Annual Bonus potential

      Requirements

      Qualified candidates should have at least 5 years management experience in a high volume,
      fast paced 3PL warehousing and transportation environment.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of large warehousing operations, including packaging, is
      necessary: experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) distribution preferred.
      • Bachelors' Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related operations discipline
      preferred.
      • A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership,
      supervision, motivation, communication, and planning.
      • Must be able to give and receive innovative, creative and helpful feedback for team growth,
      productivity and profitability.
      • We are searching for candidates with strong, demonstrated experience effectively
      managing hourly and salaried staff.
      • Experience with performance management systems, progressive discipline and safety
      reporting is required.
      • Experience with the fiscal components (budgeting, cost controls, etc.) of facility
      management is required.
      • Candidates must have knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
      • Experience in Lean / Six Sigma. Certification preferred.
      • Strong customer service skills and experience are required.
