Job Description

- Position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures the implementation of brand service strategy and brand initiatives. The position ensures the food and beverage/culinary operation meets the brand's target customer needs.
- Establishes standard operating protocols and the delivery of a luxury level of food product and service. Oversees every facet of Food & Beverage including hiring, training, and operating within budgeted parameters.
- Controls and analyzes the financial position of the department and is directly responsible for overseeing the front of house F&B management team and the Executive Chef.
- Manages Dining Room, Café, Demo Kitchen, Cantina, Pavilion, LEC and other pop-up F&B locations.
- Ensures top quality guest experience
- A visible fixture at the property and is ‘on the floor’ during active business periods
- Ensures the complete and efficient response to guest needs, requests and complaints
- Responsible for accuracy of payrolls, scheduling and performance reviews
- Participates in Capital Plan, annual budget process and other reporting
- Adjust labor and expenses to respond to changes in occupancy
- Oversight and participation in a variety of business-related meetings. Active participant in monthly Business Review and weekly Executive Committee Meetings
- Holds departmental and 1:1 leadership meetings
- Ensures appropriate service training techniques and procedures are developed and implemented with regular review and accountability processes.
- Ensures excellent communication within and across departments
- Ensures compliance with licensing, board of health criteria, all other legal requirements
- Ensures the clean and proud presentation of food & beverage front and back of house spaces
- Ensures quality of food meets nutritional requirements
- Implements seasonal menu changes and special offerings
- Ensures controls are in place and monitored to manage labor, cost of goods, expenses

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the resort under the direction of the Managing Director. Functions as the strategic business leader of the property's Food and Beverage (culinary) operation including Restaurants/Bars, room service and event catering. Additionally, has direct oversight of Engineering and Groundskeeping departments. Coordinates with Sales & Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Spa, Information Technology, and Health & Performance. Acts as the senior leader responsible for coordination of activities and communication among direct reports and peers. Provides coaching and support as appropriate. Demonstrates a personal philosophy of life and work ethic compatible with Canyon Ranch Principles. Ensures and delivers training to achieve exceptional levels of customer service. Conducts guest recovery and builds guest, member and homeowner relationships.
ResponsibilitiesFood & Beverage:
Guest Experience: Leads the daily operation for the resort, and directly supervises direct reports to ensure colleague accountability for meeting and exceeding guest, member, and homeowner expectations.
Financials: Meeting or exceeding financial goals and objectives for the resort and leads the resort in managing day to day operations.
Communication: Ensures that communication with guests, members, and homeowners have open lines of communication regarding resorts service and product offerings.
Additional Duties
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
10+ years of experience in same or related field (Food and Beverage, culinary, event management)
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving history
ServSafe manager Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
TIPS Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
