- Provide direct supervision of Program Managers, Program Directors and Assistant Directors, as designated on a monthly basis.
- Ensure the overall quality of program services with the emphasis on individual growth, health and safety.
- Assume leadership role in the development and opening of new programs.
- Work in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations and Director of Healthcare Services.
- Review and approve all critical documentation required by state funding agencies.
- Assist in crisis management as needed.
- Ensure programs are in compliance with all BAMSI and state agency requirements in particular the timely notification and completion of Incident Reports and related documentation.
- Review and respond to Monthly Management Reports, as required.
- Ensure all protocols and program functions are followed in the absence of key leaders.
- Assume leadership role in the coordination of new referrals to programs.
- Foster and maintain professional partnerships with all stakeholders through pro-active communication.
- Assume a leadership role by acting as a primary liaison with various internal administrative departments e.g. human resources, quality management, facilities, etc., representing assigned programs.
- Ensure program coverage in accordance with funding source standards and regular review of effectiveness of staffing resources and use of overtime.
- Provide monitoring and oversight of individual program budgets with Program Managers, Program Directors and Assistant Directors.
- Assume leadership role in hiring of new management and clinical staff.
- Utilize BAMSI’s electronic human resource systems for hiring, time management, payroll, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures related to the ongoing supervision, training and professional development of staff.
- Ensure compliance with mandated and recommended trainings of staff.
- Complete orientation documentation and annual evaluations for assigned direct reports.
- Ensure that program staff adheres to BAMSI policies and procedures. Take corrective action as needed.
- Assist in the identification of program areas of need and address them, seeking assistance as needed.
- Ensure the oversight of vehicle and physical plant maintenance by reporting issues promptly, arranging for needed repairs, ensuring housekeeping and interacting with the facility department as needed.
- Ensure the appropriate use of program petty cash, gas cards, grocery cards and funds belonging to individuals served; follow auditing protocols.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with funders’ standards and with BAMSI Quality Management Reviews. Participate in all external program reviews.
- Ensure programs are in compliance with all related health and safety standards.
- Complete all required trainings and certifications with established timeframes.
- Provide support and guidance for significant on-call related issues and concerns.
- Bachelor’s Degree in human service or related field strongly preferred.
- In lieu of a Bachelors Degree a minimum of seven years of senior supervisory experience in human services required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently at a high level of competence.
- Effective critical thinking and communication skills.
