      Director of Pharmacy
      National Jewish Health

      As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Director of Pharmacy at National Jewish Health, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. You will develop budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. This is a working Director of Pharmacy role.

      Schedule: This full time, exempt position works at least 40 hours/week Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm; however, may include occasional on-call coverage evenings or weekends as business needs arise.

      Pay Range: $150K-$175K based on experience

CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

      About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are 6:00am-6:30pm daily. This centralized pharmacy utilizes EPIC, Willow and Beacon software for physician order entry and Pyxis and Verity 340B software and will be adding anesthesia cabinets in the next few months.

      Required Qualifications:

      • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD or MBA preferred
      • Current Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing
      • CPR/BLS Certification and Pharmacy-based Immunization Delivery Certification required
      • A minimum of 5 years pharmacy practice experience with at least 3 years in an advanced supervisory/management role with multiple locations
      • 3-5 years experience with 340B program management as part of being the institutional expert
      • Experience developing, planning, and implementing department strategic goals
      • Ability to successfully negotiate and manage pharmacy-specific contracts
      • Ability to develop, implement and maintain department and institutional policies and procedures including regulatory compliance and practice standard changes
      • Experience overseeing department financial operations through the preparation of and adherence to annual operating budgets
      • Experience working with research staff and sponsors in developing and implementing research policies and procedures
      • Experience overseeing management of investigational drugs
      • Experience participating and leading committees such as the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Quality Improvement Committee (QIC), and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee
      • Ability to solve problems and establish trust and credibility
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns, and work cooperatively with staff

      Hospital Requirements (may be required):

      • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
      • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
      • HepB or declination
      • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
      • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
      • COVID-Full Vaccine
