THE POSITION
Title: Director of PR and Events
Reports to: Chief Brand and Customer Officer
Location: London, Westfield
ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Chief Brand and Customer Officer, this role is designed to lead the global communications strategy, focusing on maximizing earned media coverage and managing the brand’s reputation. We are seeking a highly strategic PR and events executive with expertise in modern communications and a proven ability to deliver high-impact results. As an internal ambassador, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to partner on newsworthy ideas and events that enhance brand equity.
This role demands a strategic, creative leader who brings a wealth of industry contacts and the ability to effectively communicate and execute at a global level. The ideal candidate will be a have strong media relationships, team leadership, and strategic corporate planning experience.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Build relationships with senior media contacts for coverage and ongoing opportunities on behalf of the brand.
· Work closely with Brand Campaigns, Brand Relations and Buying to identify and lead strategy of exclusives and events execution.
· Increase profiles for our spokespeople by identifying opportunities across diverse media outlets, speaking opportunities industry events to fully leverage our leadership opportunity.
· Fully prepare spokespeople for any media or event activities with Q&A, Talking Points, Current business facts and figures, Journalist information, Activity Overview. Attend all interviews or events with spokespeople.
· Leverage your network of influencer contacts for opportunities to work together via our onsite content and on the ground events
· Global budget planning and management in collaboration with the internal teams
· Provide day-to-day clear direction and guidance to the regional PR teams to ensure all strategies and plans are aligned to Global PR strategies and are focused on securing results
· Continually research and identify opportunities for the brand in the to ensure cut through within the industry
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· Previous experience operating in Senior PR position within the luxury fashion industry ideally with international scope and exposure
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of the luxury fashion industry in the digital space with pulse on emerging trends
· Significant experience managing and developing a team
· Experience managing brand and corporate reputation messaging including any sensitive/crisis communications
· Exceptional writing skills
· Proven commercial experience with working in a fast-paced environment
· Strong established relationships with media including journalists, editors and influencers across luxury with a track record of securing coverage
· String background in event strategy and execution including launches, EIP, influencer activations
· Proven track record of creating a positive impact on business through implementation of a PR strategy
