- Develop and implement a value driven structured approach to negotiation that leverages the consolidated purchasing power of the enterprise.
- Improve the quality and value of contracts through negations, ensuring that Procurement continuously manages contractual relationships and monitors key contracts for compliance issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including business and functional leaders to develop criteria and best practices for vendor selection.
- Research and analyze industry information and market trends pertaining to all spend categories assigned to Procurement Sourcing Managers under his/her supervision.
- Determine strategy, plan, organize and direct activities for all elements of the contract and procurement functions to achieve maximum cost effectiveness and process efficiency. Develop goals and objectives, monitor achievement progress, and bring about change as needed.
- Manage the maintenance of a repository of vendors in a contract management database or similar solution to track key dates (expirations, renewals), performance, risk, and demand.
- Evaluate and implement available products and services to manage all phases of the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of sufficient resources and optimum performance of the contract management and procure-to-pay processes
- Direct enterprise vendor management processes and governance for selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, as well as the on-boarding and off-boarding of vendors
- Ensure the maintenance of required vendor documentation within systems of record
- Oversee the maintenance of agreements with vendors and ensure that they are current/up to date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Use current and future spend data to identify sourcing project pipeline and develop overall cost reduction plans

- Perform various cost and/or usage analyses, benchmarking and contract compliance to determine savings potential and present findings and recommendations to business and functional leads
- Manage the vendor management capability in alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the technology organizations and the business.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT and business resources leaders to develop criteria and best practices for vendor selection including ROI analysis and plan to deliver the business case.
- Owner of top-to-top executive level strategic meetings and plans with all technology vendor partners
- Collaborate with business and functional leaders to under needs and scope deliverables required for all technology related consulting services
- Research and analyze industry information and market trends pertaining to all spend categories assigned to Category Managers under his/her supervision.
- Implement processes and policies that will increase spend under management and contract spend compliance
- Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with vendors that meet cost and performance goals while mitigating risk and legal exposure to the enterprise.
- Collaborate with Materials Management to ensure strategic sourcing initiatives are aligned with operational needs and challenges of individual surgical centers and physician offices
- Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports to support teammate development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible

- Experience with data gathering and analysis
- Experience reviewing contract Terms and Conditions
- Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
- Ten or more years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or relevant field.
- Prior experience in sourcing medical products strongly preferred.
- Experience leading complex global business transformation in a consumer-facing / consumer service industry (particularly healthcare, hospitality, or retail), or high-volume professional services desirable.

Paid Time Off:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Procurement, Strategic Sourcing leads the Strategic Sourcing function by defining goals, standards, methods and procedures to optimize vendor contracts and purchasing decisions effectively across the enterprise. The Director is responsible for leading the team that will develop and execute all procurement category strategies, strategic sourcing initiatives, and supplier relationship management across the enterprise. In addition, the director will have strategic accountability over IT sourcing. The Director is responsible for leading the team that will develop and execute IT procurement and vendor management strategies. The Director will have a number of critical responsibilities focused on partnering with the technology business and functional unit leaders, providing best-in-class service, vendor performance & risk management, scaling our processes, and innovating continuous improvement solutions.
Work Schedule: This is a Remote-Centric Hybrid workstyle position. Though we expect the applicant to primarily work from home, you may be required to come to an AMSURG office from time to time for meetings.

Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
