What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy aligned with the business objectives of the cement company
- Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, agencies, and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting the cement industry
- Advocate for policies that support the growth and sustainability of the cement industry
- Identify and assess potential risks related to regulatory and government affairs, and develop mitigation strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Business, Law, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the field of federal government relations or government experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Previous corporate government affairs or legislative experience, with experience advocating on behalf of a business
- In-depth experience with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
