Alaris Health at Care Connection Rahway, a 24 bed-skilled nursing Center in Rahway, New Jersey, seeks a recreation director to create and implement engaging and therapeutic activity programs for our residents, bringing fun and richness to their day-to-day lives. Additional responsibilities include:

• developing procedures, goals and objectives for the program
• training new volunteers
• establishing an individualized recreation plan based on each resident’s needs interests and aptitudes and evaluate the programs’ effectiveness in terms of enhancing residents’ qualities of life and Functional Level
• maintaining strong relationships with residents and residents’ families by incorporating them into activities and encouraging their participation
• and above all, ensuring that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent (associate degree in recreation is preferred)
• Certification in accordance with New Jersey regulations (CTRS or ADC)
• Possess exceptional communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
