      Role & Responsibilities
      We are currently seeking a Director of Retail Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics to drive data-driven decision support for the Retail division. This role will be responsible for driving a high-performing data analytics organization that supports the daily and longer-term strategic operations of the Retail division. The Director of Retail BI and Analytics will help define the current and future organizational data and analysis needs are to support the business strategy. This position will require a strong leader able to build strong working connections with key leaders within the Retail division and across other Samsung functions.

      Role and Responsibilities

      • Experience managing consumer insights and mystery shops with vendors.
      • Strategic, hands-on leader working deep in the data and analytics and provide actionable plans.
      • Attract, develop and retain talent while leveraging resources to help develop team skills.
      • Drive results through teamwork and collaboration.
      • Drive execution of projects by understanding operational needs, setting priorities, removing barriers, obstacles, and allocating resources correctly
      • A role model demonstrating Samsung values, treating others with fairness and respect while committing to compliance processes and establishing clear expectations.
      • Be the source of truth for Retail KPI and metrics.
      • Collaborate with cross functional teams to help influence roadmaps and strategies related to the retail pillars.
      • Promote data literacy across the end-to-end process to ensure partners leverage and understand data.
      • Coach and mentor data insights team to continue to drive actionable insights for decision making process.
      • Building standard processes to build data accuracy while automating reports.
      • Lead and develop a high-performing Retail BI and Analytics team.
      • Support and embrace report automation and implementation of data visualization tools to democratize data access and optimize organizational efficiency.
      • Combine strengths in business and data management, analysis, applied statistics, and visualization capabilities.
      • Develop data analysis solutions based on descriptive analyses and predictive models.
      • Collaborate with retail partners, marketing, sales, or other related areas teams to ensure that requirements for integration, security, data quality, and cross functional usage are addressed.
      • Lead ad hoc business analysis to identify key insights to drive sellout across the retail portfolio.
      • Build processes to statistically measure multi-variable tests and define optimization strategies to improve top-line performance.
      • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze large/complex data sets and develop predictive models for anticipated outcomes.
      • Define a data strategy and partner with key internal teams to develop roadmap and infrastructure to support current and future business needs.
      • Deliver senior executive communication and be able to present complex ideas and data in a succinct and easy to understand method.
      • Build strong partnerships with leaders across the Retail division and the broader Samsung organization.
      • Provide strong leadership and culture driven support within the broader Retail division.

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Technology experience with 12+ years of directly related experience is preferred.
      • Familiarity with data concepts like visualization (Tableau), programming (Python), Structured queries (SQL), cloud data eco system (Snowflake), and data privacy and security
      • Experience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, globally and up & down an organization.
      • Experience building, motivating and managing a team of high-performance professionals.
      • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly and translate data into actionable insights.
      • Microsoft Standard Office Suite and advanced expertise in PowerPoint/Excel
      • Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau.
      • Strong understanding and experience with big data platforms and analysis techniques and tools
      • Demonstrated program management ability, proven experience planning and executing large scale projects and/or events.
      • Experience collaborating with senior executives across a large organization.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master’s degree with 10+ years of directly related experience is strongly preferred.
      • 5+ years of experience developing predictive models that directly inform and/or enable quantifiable business action, either by providing insights or building analytic applications
