      Responsibilities

      Director of Risk Management & Performance Improvement

      Position Summary:

      The Director of Risk Management & Performance Improvement is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities. Typical responsibilities include the following:

      • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with guidelines and standards of The Joint Commission, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M.@Program.
      • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
      • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Demonstrates an understanding of hospital operations, risk identification and assessment & reduction of facility safety concerns.
      • Responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss.

      Qualifications

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field. Master's Degree preferred.
      • A minimum of two years experience in quality management, improving organization performance within an acute health care setting preferably behavioral health
      • A strong knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA and standards of care.
      • May be required to work flexible hours.
