Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Operadora Hoteles Mexpla del Bajio, S.A. de C.V. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
· Assists in the development of the Hotel Business Plan and the execution of a specific and measurable plan by segment.· Analyzes hotel market share reports and month-end reports to make recommendations to maximize results.· Responsible for reactive and proactive sales for accounts and segments, local and social dining sales, and reservation sales.· Responsible for the overall deployment of proactive sales both locally and internationally (key source markets), including prospecting targets.· Responsible for the performance and optimization of all channels, including third-party channels such as OTAs and group brokerage platforms.· Collaborates with Revenue Management to assist in the development of the hotel's sales and distribution strategy and ensures these strategies are communicated, implemented, and continually updated based on business insights.· Collaborates with Marketing and Digital to execute and activate continental/global promotions and be the hotel's voice regarding demand generation opportunities and needs.Academic Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.· Diplomas or courses in sales, negotiation, or business management are desirable.Experience:· Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience in the hotel or tourism sector.· Knowledge of corporate, group, event, wedding, and/or leisure sales.· Experience working with hotel chains (ideally with international brands such as Marriott).Skills and Competencies:· Ability to prospect and close deals.· Effective negotiation and focus on results.· Ability to develop long-term business relationships.· Organization, follow-up, and management of sales reports.· Excellent personal presentation and oral and written communication skills.· Self-sufficiency and proactivity to generate opportunities.Technical Knowledge:· Knowledge of reservation systems (Opera) is desirable.· Knowledge of the national and international market (especially Mexico City and destinations like San Miguel de Allende).· Intermediate-advanced English (desirable).Biweekly payment
