      Four Seasons Resort and Residences Los Cabos, at Costa Palmas, located in LA RIBERA , will be part of the exclusive Costa Palmas resort community, which will also include a private marina and a members-only beach and yacht club, all situated along a two-mile stretch of pristine white sand and the warm, swimmable waters of the Sea of Cortez.       About the role of the Director of Security

      The Director of Security is responsible for developing and implementing security strategies and protocols to safeguard the resort’s guests, employees, and assets. This role requires a strong knowledge of Mexican legal frameworks, labor and criminal law, and emergency preparedness procedures , particularly in relation to hurricane response and recovery . The Director of Security will lead the security team in ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment across the resort.

      What you will do:

      • Oversee daily resort security operations ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
      • Implement and enforce Four Seasons’ corporate safety and loss prevention standards.
      • Ensure full compliance with Mexican labor, health, criminal, and hospitality laws, particularly regarding employee rights, guest privacy, investigations, and emergency detainment.
      • Act as liaison with government agencies (Protección Civil, Seguridad Pública, etc.) and support audits or inspections.
      • Lead the Hurricane Preparedness Program: including risk assessments, property protection, staff drills, guest communications, and post-storm recovery.
      • Coordinate drills and simulations aligned with Four Seasons standards and National Civil Protection protocols.
      • Maintain accurate records including incident logs, investigation reports, and security audits.

      What you bring:

      • Minimum of 5 years in a senior security role, preferably in luxury hospitality or resort environments.
      • Strong knowledge of Mexican legal and regulatory systems, especially labor and criminal law.
      • Proven experience in hurricane or natural disaster emergency planning and crisis management.
      • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
      • Background in certified security professional preferred.
      • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
      • Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies with calm and authority.

      Preferred Certifications:

      • CPR and First Aid Certified
      • Protection Civil Certification (Protección Civil)
      • Hotel Security Risk Management or International Security Certification
