- Manages, develops, and forecasts department and program budgets
- Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with university, academic, and administrative policies within an organization or program
- Recommends new internal policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Leads university or school-wide initiatives and campaigns
- Independently makes decisions regarding projects and initiatives within confines established by management
- Represents school/department programs and initiatives to both internal and external constituents.
- Manages the implementation of technology to enhance effectiveness, compliance, and business processes
- Identifies, manages relationships, and negotiates with external and internal partners.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
Rice Business, renowned for its world-class MBA programs, is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as the Director of Student Experience in the Office of Academic Programs and Student Experience. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to shape and enhance the educational journey of our MBA students, ensuring an unparalleled and transformative experience from enrollment to graduation.
As the Director of Student Experience, you will be at the forefront of student advocacy, working to bring to fruition major milestone events such as orientation and graduation. You will play a crucial role in working with student leadership on program development, implementation, and continuous improvement of student led events such as Gala, Partio, Lunch and Dinner Colloquium, and four major student conferences.
In this role, you will also focus on academic support and resources, guaranteeing that all students have access to the tools and guidance necessary for academic success.

Hiring Range: $75,000 minimum with hiring salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
Workplace Requirements
This position is a full-time, in-person, Monday-to-Friday role, with frequent evening and/or weekend commitments. The schedule will allow for compensating days off when working outside of the traditional M-F schedule. An expectation, at minimum, will be one weekend/monthly and one evening/weekly. The primary expectation is to be on campus in alignment with the student academic and programming schedule - flexibility in schedule is available when needed and where appropriate. Travel requirements are minimal, almost exclusively at the discretion of the employee.
