      Requirements:
      Educational Level: Minimum of Masters Degree
      Certification/Licenses: Minimum Leadership Tier 1

      Possesses the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and the public from diverse cultural, social, economic, and educational backgrounds.

      Possesses the ability to be flexible and adapt as needed between in-person work environments.
      Partners and communicates with other departments, school principals, other personnel and external stakeholders.
      Determines and develops priorities for improvement in the assigned areas and development of district and school wide goals and activities/initiatives to meet those goals.
      Analyzes the ongoing implementation of activities and initiatives to make mid-course adjustments to have maximum impact on students.
      Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
      Plans, develops, and coordinates a district-wide system of student-centered services.
      Oversees staff in attendance, health services, student discipline, behavior support, 504 services, homeless support, and wrap around services.
      Has an understanding of associated laws, including IDEA, Georgia State codes related to truancy, compulsory attendance, and Child Abuse, The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, FERPA, etc.
      Possesses knowledge of federal and state laws related to exceptional student education, 504, and the SST process.
      Possesses an understanding of school social work practice ethical issues and standards.
      Ensures there is a system in each school building for responding to 504 concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
      Establishes consistent district-wide procedures for notification of rights, referral, evaluation, planning, and implementation for students with disabilities under Section 504
      Facilitates the district’s 504 complaint process/grievance policy, including ensuring prompt and impartial investigations occur and notifying complainants of the outcomes
      Assists School Principals in the areas of communication with staff, students, community or other administrators regarding student discipline and supports student disciplinary due process hearings.
      Oversees the full implementation of the district's code of conduct.
      Serves as a liaison between the school and the community to increase student attendance rates
      Provides targeted follow-up with parents/guardians to mitigate issues impacting attendance.
      Serves as a school representative with the court system in reference to student attendance and attends Judicial Court in attendance cases.
      Facilitates the sustainability and expansion of PBIS practices district-wide.
      Provides and/or facilitates quality training at all three tiers of PBIS: universal, secondary and tertiary.
      Trains and provides ongoing technical and data analysis support to staff who use school-wide data collection systems related to PBIS, attendance, & discipline
      Supervises social workers and ensures that services are supportive of the school community.
      Oversees and leads the district’s social and emotional learning initiative by which students and adults develop fundamental emotional and social competencies and experiences.
      Remains current on best practices in social emotional learning, learning differences, and the Georgia Standards of Excellence
