    • Serves as the district’s strategic leader in managing student consequences through structured disciplinary processes that promote accountability and behavioral improvement

    • Develop and oversee the district’s consequence framework (discipline matrix) with a focus on fairness and consistency

    • Provides training and coaching to principals and administrators on behavior response and restorative approaches

    • Consults with school leaders on complex disciplinary cases to ensure legal compliance and effective outcomes

    • Manages the student tribunal process for long-term suspensions and expulsions

    • Collaborates with school staff, district legal counsel, and families to ensure due process and effective hearing outcomes

    • Maintains accurate records and documentation for all tribunal proceedings

    • Leads transition and re-entry planning for students returning from DJJ and HOPE Academy

    • Partners with counselors, social workers, and intervention staff to create individualized support plans

    • Works closely with the Director of Prevention and Intervention and MTSS Facilitator to align consequences with Tier II and Tier III interventions

    • Participates in planning and strategy meetings to coordinate behavior support services across departments

    • Works closely with the Exceptional Education department to ensure all disciplinary actions and processes are compliant with state and federal guidelines for students with disabilities, including IDEA

    • Ensures that disciplinary actions involving students with disabilities adhere to legal requirements and support individualized education plans (IEPs)

    • Ensures alignment and consistency in the use of discipline incident titles and descriptions in Infinite Campus across all schools to promote accurate reporting and compliance with state guidelines

    • Analyzes district-wide behavior data to identify trends, high-risk groups, and root causes of behavior challenges

    • Collaborates with the Assessment and Testing team to align student discipline practices with CCRPI improvement goals, including efforts to reduce disproportionate discipline among student subgroups and support readiness and attendance indicators

    • Delivers professional development to staff on best practices in behavior management and student support

    • Ensures all responses to student behavior are rehabilitative and designed to promote long-term success

    • Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned by School District Administrators.

      Other Functions:

      Daily attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.

      Working Environment:

      The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:

      Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 65% walking/standing, 25% sitting and 10% lifting/carrying.
