    • Identify technology needs of the school district and develop/implement a district-wide technology plan.
    • Assist principals, teachers, and district personnel in creating School Technology Plans.
    • Manage District Technology Budget, including overseeing technology purchasing and the federal E-Rate program.
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements to district technology plans annually.
    • Foster collaboration with counterparts in other districts and serve as a resource to district staff.
    • Lead initiatives in digital citizenship and oversee maintenance of district and school websites.
    • Participate in facility planning related to technology infrastructure.
    • Maintain licensing and maintenance agreements for hardware and software applications.
    • Direct the technology program and oversee district and school Technology Committee.
    • Work with curriculum committees to align technology with instructional objectives.
    • Review and evaluate software for instructional purposes.
    • Collaborate with instructional leaders to promote technology use across subject areas.
    • Coordinate purchase and testing of new servers and support equipment.
    • Provide technical support to staff and oversee repair and maintenance system.
    • Establish priority levels and response times for technical requests.
    • Coordinate distribution and maintain inventory of technology hardware and software.
    • Lead development and implementation of IT systems and department protocols.
    • Establish business continuity plans and assess IT infrastructure performance.
    • Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
    • Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
    • Daily attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.

      Salary: $41.95 - $63.68 (based on experience)

      Primary Job Goal: To develop and maintain an Education Technology Plan leveraging the district's technological resources to enhance instruction and management. The Director of Technology will oversee hardware and software applications, ensuring alignment with the Comprehensive District Improvement Plan. The Director of Information Technology will manage IT operations to deliver efficient technical support services

      Working Environment:
      The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
      Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 40% walking, 20% lifting/carrying, and 40% standing.
