      The Director of the Creighton Center for Enterprise Value will lead the university's efforts in fostering a robust ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, development, and operation of the Center, ensuring it aligns with Creighton University's mission and goals. The role requires an equal blend of academic and practical program development, integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on entrepreneurial experience.

      • Teaching: Spend significant time teaching entrepreneurship and innovation courses, integrating practical and theoretical knowledge to enhance student learning.
      • Strategic Leadership and Management: Guide the overall strategic direction of the Center for Innovation. Oversee the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives.
      • Curriculum Development: Lead the enhancement of the entrepreneurial curriculum, including the integration of the Birkman assessment and the administration of the Online MBA Entrepreneurship Certificate program.
      • Incubator and Collaboration Space Management: Oversee the operation of the incubator and collaboration spaces, ensuring they serve as effective resources for student and faculty startups and promote a culture of innovation.
      • Specialized Program Development: Implement specialized entrepreneurship modules for professional colleges, integrating entrepreneurial thinking into various professional practices.
      • Mentorship and Networking Facilitation: Develop and maintain a robust mentorship and networking framework, connecting students with industry professionals, alumni, and entrepreneurs.
      • Educational Program Coordination: Coordinate workshops, seminars, and speaker series that supplement traditional academic learning with practical, real-world insights.
      • Innovation Challenge Administration: Organize and oversee competitions and innovation challenges, such as the JayTank event, to encourage creative and competitive thinking among students.
      • Industry and Community Partnership Development: Establish and nurture partnerships with local businesses, industry leaders, and community organizations to enhance educational experiences and create opportunities for students.
      • Tech Transfer Office Management: Collaborate with Creighton's Law College to ensure the effective operation of the Tech Transfer Office, facilitating the commercialization of academic research.
      • Investment Fund Management: Spearhead the establishment and management of the investment fund, providing support to promising startups from the Creighton community.
      • Research and Development Oversight: Manage the Research and Development Labs, fostering an environment of cutting-edge research and practical application of emerging technologies.

      Qualifications:

      • Master's degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, or a related field required.
      • Minimum of 7 years of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation management, or related areas, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
      • Collegiate teaching experience preferred.
      • Proven experience in securing funding for new ventures, including fundraising for new initiatives, programs, startups, and investment funds.
      • Curriculum design and development experience, emphasizing new, novel, and innovative approaches.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Demonstrated experience in starting and running a business.
      • Proven track record of raising capital for new ventures.
      • Experience with acceleration programs, including managing or participating in them.
      • Practical, hands-on experience in coaching and mentoring founders.
      • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
      • Knowledge of entrepreneurial ecosystems, incubators, and innovation processes.
      • Experience in curriculum development and educational program coordination.
