Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter Services Company is North America's largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider. Roto-Rooter operates businesses in over 100 company-owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 independent franchise operations, serving approximately 90% of the U.S. population and parts of Canada.

We have an exciting opportunity open for our Director of Water Restoration. The Director of Water Restoration provides overall leadership of the Water Restoration segment of the business. The salary range for this position is $150,000-$160,000, depending on experience. There is also potential for a discrentionary bonus.

This position has three main focuses: Increase water restoration sales by developing business opportunities and implementing effective sales strategies, Develop and implement industry Best Practices, and implement controls to ensure all work meets company service and safety standards. In addition to working with Field Operations to grow the business, the Director of Water Restoration will also ensure that customers receive outstanding service in line with Roto-Rooter Services Company and IICRC guidelines. The Director of Water Restoration Manager must be IICRC Certified, proficient in Xactimate, and represent the company within industry trade organizations. Must be willing to travel and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Sales Management/Development

• Responsible for working with Field Operations to identify areas for growth in their respective markets/geographic locations for Water Restoration business.
• Develop, implement, and track sales strategies focused on achieving Company sales targets and identifying new opportunities to grow the business.
• Work with General Managers and Regional Vice Presidents on effective sales techniques to drive an increase in close rates.
• Develop and implement “Best Practices” for the Water Restoration business.

Training and Development

• Assess current Company Education and Training program for Water Restoration personnel.
• Develop and implement new or improved Educational and Training programs to ensure Water Restoration Personnel perform at Company/Industry level standards in the field.
• Oversee relationships with outside training vendors.
• Ensure training compliance.

Operations/Safety

• Evaluate current internal processes and develop/implement controls to ensure all work is completed to company and industry service standards.
• Implement controls to ensure water restoration work meets company service and safety standards.
• Work with Regional Safety Managers and branch Water Restoration Managers as necessary to ensure job safety compliance.
• Manage relationships with equipment vendors.

Additional Duties

• Participate in trade/industry organizations as necessary to stay updated on industry trends and practices related to water restoration.
• Represent the organization within the industry as requested by senior management.

Requirements

Skills and experience that are required for this position:

• 5-10 years of industry work experience.
• Proficiency in Xactimate.
• IICRC Certification
• Ability to communicate (orally and in writting) in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors, and company contacts.
• Basic accounting skills for calculating revenues, performing audits and for production reports
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Navigational skills and the ability to read city maps
• Microsoft 365
