      Salary Range: $169,800.00 - $239,000.00

      Position Summary

      The Director of the Office of Professionalism plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of professionalism, integrity, and respect within Weill Cornell Medicine. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Professionalism (ADP), this individual oversees the operations of the Office of Professionalism, collaborates with various stakeholders, and serves as a point of contact for faculty and staff regarding professionalism issues. Through dedicated leadership and strategic initiatives, the Director helps to embody and instill our shared values across all levels of the organization, enhancing the quality of education, patient care, and research within our institution.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Under ADP's guidance, manage day-to-day operations of the Office of Professionalism.
      • Cultivate an environment promoting professionalism, fostering awareness, communication, and key principles.
      • Collaborate with WCM and Ithaca leadership on professionalism policy development, implementation, and review.
      • Partner with stakeholders (OGC, HR, IT, etc.) for input, align activities, and ensure accurate tracking.
      • Serve as a primary contact for queries related to Office of Professionalism policies and procedures.
      • Develop and implement programs enhancing professionalism: workshops, trainings, mentorship, and peer review.
      • Manage reported incidents of unprofessional behavior, ensuring thorough investigations and appropriate actions.
      • Oversee development and execution of professional development programs for faculty, staff, and students.
      • Regularly assess effectiveness of office's policies and initiatives, identify improvements, and implement changes.
      • Ensure all office activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

      Education

      • Bachelor's Degree

    Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degrees in related fields such as healthcare administration, management, or education are preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience managing operations and engaging with staff and leaders at all levels.
    • Experience in investigations or human resource management is highly desirable.
