      Director People Analytics and Insights

      The People Analytics team at Expedia Group is a rapidly growing team that uses data and analytics to understand our organization’s health and to define and shape the Expedian employee’s experience. At Expedia, we believe data powers experiences. We are searching for an experienced people analytics leader who will lead a team of people analytics partners responsible for understanding and decoding business needs and the design and delivery of research, analysis and metrics on the most critical challenges and opportunities for Expedia Group.


      In this role you will partner with business and people team leaders in understanding business needs and priorities and super-charge capacity in the organization for using data and analytics to drive people-related decision making and outcomes. You will lead the delivery of c-suite and board level research and insights on our people and inclusion and diversity priorities. You will build out employee lifecycle metrics aimed at understanding the full employee experience of Expedians and be at the forefront of identifying the demand and prioritization for the development of people data & analytics solutions.

      What you'll do:

      • Partner with People team and business leaders to understand key business priorities, design analyses and recommend data analytics solutions that drive strategic and tactical decision making

      • Partner with CPO and Finance organization on board level analytics reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data reporting across time and teams

      • Inform people strategy and talent planning through metrics and analytics that quantify progress and identify gaps related to org. health, inclusion and diversity, performance, and employee experience

      • Benchmark key measures against external industry, region and "best in class" peers and apply research to identify links between people and business performance

      • Synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to-consume storylines, both visually and verbally, and provide indicated actions for c-suite and executive audiences

      • Lead a team of people analytics partners and product owners

      • Be the voice of the customer in our product development process, looking across workstreams to develop a cohesive story around our suite of offerings, ensuring data customers have the data and insights required

      • Bring a superb level of rigor to research and output form the insights team setting consistently applied standards, clear definitions, high quality visuals, robust storytelling and maximized interpretability

      • Independently propose and drive bottom-up innovation, determine ways to use data as a strategic asset and identify new research or solutions that add significant value

      • Lead the identification of demand for data and analytics solutions based on business need and agreed prioritization methods

      • Partner with product & engineering teams to deliver on data and analytics solution development, deployment, and adoption

      • Build capability within the People organization to utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and outcomes in the business

      • Leverage tools to drive analytics and enable self-service on routine enquiries

      • Lead the delivery of people metrics and analysis overall and by business, ensuring that the data is relevant, timely and tells a meaningful story

      • Stay up-to date on internal and external developments in HR, data science, analytics, HRIS and technology trends

      Who you are:

      • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years’ experience in a senior level people analytics, I&D analytics, management consultancy or related field

      • Recognized leader with over 10 years of successful consultancy and/or analytical team management in dynamic environments (ideally tech / retail companies)

      • Demonstration of excellent senior leadership relationship building skills and business-first mindset

      • Track record of understanding and engagement with advancement in the analytics field, including success in adoption of increasingly sophisticated tools and technologies to accelerate sophistication and impact in insights

      • Experience in people metrics and analytics, inclusion and diversity analytics, using HR systems and tools such as Workday

      • Experience in agile methodologies

      • Demonstrated experience navigating a fast paced, dynamic work environment

      The total cash range for this position in Austin is $184,500 to $258,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $174,500 to $244,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $279,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      The total cash range for this position in New York is $196,000 to $274,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
