- As part of the Performance & Reliability team supporting ongoing operations of the streaming service, oversee an Operations team that will be responsible for running a world-class problem management practice to drive resiliency and stability across the Global DTC platforms.
- Responsible for all aspects of the Incident and Problem Management Practice, including working with the SKY SRE and Problem Teams.
- Manage all post-incident activities including After Action Reviews (AAR), problem tickets creation, assignments, and tracking.
- Evolve Incident and Problem Management practices for tracking and burn down of defects and actions items.
- Work with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery team on tracking resiliency opportunities within the platforms.
- Manage a team of platform operations analysts who provide 24x7x365 monitoring of the end-to-end systems used in the delivery of NBC’s Direct-to- Consumer platform.
- Drive the incident management process, ensuring that all systems are documented in the CMDB with properly described resiliency and escalation processes.
- Coach the team with assessing the right severity of an outage related to the business impact.
- Oversee creation of run books for Platform Operations Analysts to follow during production incidents.
- Act as an escalation for any major production incident, leading the incident response in real-time and coordinating with the Site Reliability and Delivery teams to ensure proper resolution.
- Establish reports & dashboards to report Incident and Problem metrics to development teams as well as technical and business leadership.
- Position is fully remote and may be performed from anywhere in the United States.
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered or at least 5 years of experience in digital operations.
- Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in the following: change and incident management with an understanding of deploying to, and operating in, the cloud; digital media or direct-to-consumer video business; designing highly available fault-tolerant software; experience in presenting key business data with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders and executives; and experience as a first hand user of large complex software systems and their interdependencies. Must also have at least 3 years of management experience.

We are offering a salary range of $235,040 per year to $260,000 per year, depending upon qualifications.
