      Overview

      This Director of Plant Operations has accountability for regional management of people, finances, and facility and plant operations at our Southdale and Ridges Hospital locations. Responsibilities include Plant Maintenance, Grounds, Power Plant, Utilities, Daily Maintenance and Repairs. Ensures Regulatory Compliance (JC, CMS, and other agencies as appropriate) for the Environment of Care and Safety for hospitals, clinics, and other Fairview facilities as assigned. Collaborate with the other leaders and support system standardization removing variance in processes, contracting, and cost. Assures that customers are the focus of all business activities, and that patient and employee satisfaction is essential.


      Responsibilities Job Description

      • Ensures the highest level of quality and performance of facility operations within established metrics and performance targets and meets all regulatory requirements.
      • Responsible for ensuring safe and reliable buildings and responds to the needs of the hospital or site as appropriate.
      • Works with and assists Construction Management as appropriate to support construction, projects, and space management effectively and efficiently.
      • Stays current with best practices, regulatory changes, and technology opportunities in areas of responsibility.
      • Supports and collaborates in the development of best practice processes and implements across Fairview.
      • Recognizes and addresses opportunities for improvement.
      • Develops system policies in collaboration with other leaders.
      • Manages the work within the scope of responsibility and fosters an environment of cooperation, high productivity, and teamwork.
      • Sets appropriate priorities among competing demands.
      • Chair the Environment of Care Committee as requested.

      Qualifications

      Required

      Education

      • Associates degree in Engineering or related field; or combination of education and experience

      Experience

      • Three years directly related management experience in healthcare / hospital setting or comparable management experience.

      License/Certification/Registration

      • Current Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), or completion within 12 months of start of this position.

      Preferred

      Education

      • Bachelor’s Degree

      Experience

      • Six years directly related management experience in healthcare/hospital setting or comparable management experience.

      License/Certification/Registration

      • Applicable advanced certifications or licensures
