- Perform management responsibilities to include, but not limited to: involvement in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary.
- Responsible for portfolio budgeting and financial management including review and analysis of actual financial results, making recommendations on budgetary adjustments, and summarizing portfolio financial performance for senior leadership Partners with enGen on demand and capacity planning in order to maximize the value the portfolio delivers.
- Manage overall performance of portfolio, maintaining a high-level understanding of whether the investments are providing timely delivery allowing for expected value realization and outcomes, and are prioritized appropriately. Partner with Finance on value realization processes and reporting. Enable effective governance forums for portfolio reporting and decision-making.
- Execute an ongoing portfolio evaluation and prioritization process, which includes reviewing and evaluating current strategic initiatives and new initiatives for strategic alignment, affordability, required tradeoffs, and projected value realization. Ensure the portfolio drives value and differentiation for Highmark.
- Build strong relationships with executive leaders across the organization ensuring the team functions as a trusted adviser to leadership

- 7 years' Management experience in the healthcare industry
- 7 years' Portfolio management experience in the healthcare industry
- 7 years' Experience in a senior consulting principle/manager/director role
- 7 years' Experience with budget administration, financial forecasting, cost allocation techniques, activity based accounting, budget analysis and reporting
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with a client’s business stakeholder. Ensure clear, confident and collaborative manner when articulating concepts, challenges, complexities in order to drive standards and best practices.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines and changing needs.
- Strong strategic consultation and critical thinking skills; strong listening and problem-solving skills

- PMP

JOB SUMMARY
This role supports a broad, enterprise-wide view of business strategy aimed at enabling Highmark to achieve its business objectives. This role will plan and direct administrative, strategic and financial activities for the portfolio at the direction of executive management. This individual will develop and maintain relationships with executives and management staff to identify and drive solutions to achieve strategic vision. The role is responsible for success of the portfolio from ideation through value capture, including selection of the right strategic initiatives and proper financial management through delivery. This role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and extensive experience partnering with and influencing senior executives.

$108,000.00Pay Range Maximum:
$199,800.00Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
