- Portfolio Strategy - Implements Energy policies. Analyzes data, research, and market trends to meet client investment needs. Ensures compliance with investment and fiduciary guidelines within proprietary investment products. May assist senior leadership with initiatives that support wider strategic objectives regarding investments and asset allocation.
- Client Servicing - Services the largest, most complex client accounts through ongoing reporting, monitoring, and handling of client portfolios. Completes extensive reports and presentations that provide clarity on borrower performance, covenant compliance, collateral coverage, debt service coverage, risk ratings, downgrade (and upgrade) triggers, and outlook. Provides support to Borrower's new money requests, waivers, amendments, modifications.
- Portfolio Management - Oversees the active monitoring of individual credit exposures and identifies/escalates emerging risks/adverse trends
- Managerial Functions - Assigns portfolios to selected associates. Recommends appropriate changes to procedures, standards, and policies as appropriate. Assists with the management, performance, training, and evaluation of assigned portfolio staff. Maximizes portfolio achievements by providing professional development.
- Masters Degree, Business, Finance, Economics
- 6 years of Portfolio Management within the Renewable (solar/battery/tax equity) and Project Finance sector
- 6 years managing Administrative Agency roles and bank groups
- 6 years managing complex project finance transactions/portfolios
- 6 years of Banking/Investment Banking Industry experience
- Masters Degree, Business, Finance, Economics

OverviewThis is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
First Citizens Energy Finance leverages its deep industry knowledge and expertise to offer comprehensive financing solutions for renewable and conventional power generation. The unit manages a large, diverse portfolio that includes investments in all asset classes across the energy sector.
The Director Portfolio Manager Energy manages and oversees Energy Finance credit products. Implements the Energy investment strategy and approach within stated investment guidelines. Responsible for the financial risk and return of the portfolio through ongoing monitoring, reporting, risk management, and structuring of investments. Services large, complex portfolios for institutional and private equity clients. Evaluates loan opportunities makes credit recommendations, presentations, and applies expertise in support of Business Unit and RM objectives, balanced appropriately by acceptable risk.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Underwriting or Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Credit Underwriting or Management
Preferred:
The base pay for this position is generally between $185,000.00 and $250,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
