      VENUE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION

      Legends is the official partner to the San Antonio Spurs. The partnership includes overseeing The Rock and its ultra-premium private members Spurs Club, all food and beverage programming development and management.       THE ROLE

      The Director of Spurs Club is expected to be a progressive leader focused on providing the highest level of service to our members and guests. Responsible for the success of the overall operational and financial goals, with the expectation to focus entirely on operations, staff performance, talent planning, as well as partnering and overseeing the Membership Sales team in pushing them to achieve their targeted goals.

      Manage all aspects of the Spurs Club, its activities and the relationship between the club and The San Antonio Spurs, members, guests, employees, community, and industry. Coordinate and administer the club’s policies as defined by Legends Hospitality and the San Antonio Spurs.

      Develop operating policies and procedures and direct the work of all department managers. Implement and monitor the budget, monitor the quality of the club’s products and services, and ensure maximum member and guest satisfaction. Secure and protect the club’s assets. The Spurs Club is first of its kind private social club and restaurant, located atop The Rock at La Cantera, global headquarters to the San Antonio Spurs, where members can gather, entertain and unwind in premiere style. The position reports to the General Manager of The Rock at La Cantera.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      • To create the finest luxury members club with an unmatched hospitality experience for members and guests while maximizing the value of the partnership venture.
      • Manage all expectations and relationships of the club with the San Antonio Spurs.
      • Guarantees a positive first impression to members and guests, ensuring it is a priority for all departments.
      • Assists and accommodates all members regarding any preparations and/or concerns.
      • Ensures that premium standards of food, beverage, entertainment, and other club services are delivered consistently.
      • Contribute and oversee the sales process of club memberships.
      • Welcomes new club members. Meet and greet all club members as practical during their visits to the club.
      • Develops ongoing dialogue and support with members through recognition, communication, and follow-through.
      • Coordinates the marketing and member-relations programs to promote the club’s services to present to potential members.
      • Implements general policies established, directs their administration and execution.
      • Apprising the General Manager of The Rock of trends, changing circumstances and unexpected occurrences that could result in making changes to the strategic plan.
      • Monitors long- and short-term objectives and financial reports in consultation with the Finance Manager, prepares a financial plan for the club.
      • Sets the standard for effective management and demonstrates a concern for the supervision and development of staff.
      • In conjunction with the Human Resources Manager and department supervisors, establish employee rules and regulations, work schedules, internal controls, and a performance appraisal system.
      • Plans, develops, and approves specific operational policies, programs, procedures, methods, rules, and regulations in concert with general policies.
      • Establishes and monitors compliance with purchasing policies and procedures; reviews and approves purchasing procedures requirements.
      • Reports all incidents and accidents within the club via Origami
      • Consistently assures the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

      • Experience as a Director or General Manager within an ultra-premium environment.
      • 10+ years operational experience in managing and creating luxury hospitality experiences – F&B, Restaurant, Nightlife.
      • An innate understanding of high-touch customer service – you are the consummate host and no detail in providing for members, guests or our teams goes unnoticed.
      • Substantial luxury hospitality / private member club industry experience with management and supervisory progression and professional advancement.
      • Proven leadership and professional development experience with teams of 20+ individuals from a variety of departments: Operations, F&B, Membership, Events & Programming, Sales, Marketing, AV, and IT…etc.
      • A successful Director of Spurs Club will ensure operational excellence by homing in on the smallest details and consistently elevate and refine the member experience, guest experience and internal culture.
      • Characteristics of a successful Director include honesty, straightforwardness, integrity, accountability, leadership, and dedication.
      • Ability to inspire and motivate others, earn the respect of members, employees, key stakeholders as well as the community at large.
      • Must demonstrate interpersonal relations skills, be an excellent communicator, competent administrator, and be able to effectively communicate the club’s vision.
      • Always conducts himself or herself in a responsible and professional manner while at or away from the club and encourages other staff members to do the same to reflect proper image of the club throughout the community.,
      • Ability to be diplomatic and tactful – yet firm – in dealing with member constituents.
      • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
      • Ability to make complex decisions in a dynamic environment in support of the club’s vision, mission, and core values.
      • Displays sound judgment.
      • Ability to think strategically while meeting operational and near-term objectives
      • Financial aptitude commensurate with executive duties.
      • Helps to set and maintain high standards for all services and communications.
      • Knowledge and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
