      Amazon is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Safety, and Compliance to lead and manage large-scale global risk management programs. This executive role requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in managing risks and related tradeoffs, and regulatory frameworks across diverse stores.

      As the Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that ensure Amazon’s products meet the highest standards of safety and compliance while helping our selling partners navigate the changing compliance landscape. You will oversee cross-functional teams, partner with global stakeholders, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes to align with Amazon’s commitment to customer and selling partner trust.

      Key job responsibilities
      Global Leadership: Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive risk management programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards across all regions.

      Regulatory Compliance: Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring Amazon remains compliant with evolving international, federal, and local laws.

      Product Safety Management: Establish and refine systems to identify, evaluate, and mitigate product safety risks across the product lifecycle and supply chain.

      Policy Development: Lead the development and implementation of policies that set a high safety bar for critical product categories such as supplements, electronics, and toys, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory standards.

      Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of compliance, and safety professionals across multiple regions.

      Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and operations teams to integrate safety and compliance measures into new product designs and processes.

      Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics and risk assessment tools to proactively identify and address emerging safety and compliance risks.

      Continuous Improvement: Develop frameworks and training programs to embed a culture of safety, compliance, and risk awareness across Amazon.- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, engineering, or a related field.

      - 12+ years in risk management, compliance, product safety, or related disciplines, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.

      - Proven track record managing large-scale, global programs in complex and regulated industries and working across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

      - Strong knowledge of international safety and compliance regulations, standards, and best practices.

      - Experience in e-commerce, technology, or supply chain industries.

      - Expertise in navigating ambiguous environments and driving scalable solutions.

      - Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and risk modeling.
