      Director, Production Value Stream

      Position: Major Tasks Serves as a member of the senior site leadership team in the development of site objectives, strategies and policies. Participates in and provide facility leadership for selected key strategic Packaging and Manufacturingprojects for the Myerstown site. • Leads servant leadership and PSS initiatives, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and ownership culture. • Develop project execution timelines and assure adherence to key project milestones. Communicate project status to senior management, plant management, and plant employees through reports, presentations, meetings and publications. • Accountable for the performance of the Value Stream, including Supply Chain, OE, Safety, Quality, People, and Financials. • Provide oversight to the Process Technology scientists supporting each value stream either OTC or Nutritionals operations, who support new product development and introductions, product/process improvements, support validation of raw materials from new suppliers, own the comprehensive cleaning validation plan, troubleshooting of production problems, and close cooperation with Research and Development (R&D) to achieve short time-to-market cycles for new products paired with competitive cost-of-goods. As well as provide the appropriate subject manner experts during FDA and other internal/external agencies audits with particular emphasis on processes, cleaning validation, process validation and all unitoperations done at the site. • Ensures that cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance is fully met, and required training programs are developed and implemented. Ensures site and Bayer quality standards are developed, understood, and implemented. Also, ensures complete compliance with all federal regulatory agency requirements, EPA requirements for environmental stewardship, and OSHA requirements for occupational health and safety. In conjunction with other Departments ensure that training programs are developed and implemented to meet all Bayer Quality and Health, Environment and Safety Standards. Assures compliance to Bayer policies and directives. • Ensures that Production areas and processes are maintainedin excellent cGMP conditions at all times. • Creates and maintains a team-based and proactive culture that accentuates continuous improvement principles. Provides frequent feedback and coaching to others on ways to improve performance, including being proactive in providing development experience to others. • Manage operating budget for all Manufacturing and Packaging Operations. Manage production, safety, engineering, training, supply chain efforts to supply premium quality product in the expected quantity and time • Ensures that sufficient resources are available on a timely basis to meet production schedules, while maintaining optimal (low) inventory levels and safety stocks. Takes appropriate action in conditions of uncertainty to protect the business and avoid out of stock situations. • Approves all major decisions affecting the direction of special projects being managed such as timeliness and implementation plans. Plans for growth of product lines and recommends future capital needs. Assure that all project processes are guided by the goals of the division and corporation. • Sets priorities consistent
