- Design and oversee Cleaning Strategy to deliver sustainable quality of facilities.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Internal Maintenance department.
- Develop SOPs for care and maintenance of property.
- Actively work with vendors for any departmental needs.
- Provide input and direction in the development and monitoring of budgets, division operations and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for The Venetian Resort.
- Provide input into and executes the development, implementation, and measurement of guest service standards within assigned department consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
- Participate in the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment.
- Periodically tours facility to inspect cleanliness.
- Establish standards and work procedures for Internal Maintenance team members, inspects and evaluates physical condition of department areas, and consults with facilities department on any necessary repair work.

- High school diploma.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 7 - 10 years of management experience in housekeeping or public area operations and budgeting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience .
- Prior working experience with collective bargaining agreements.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.

- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Director – Public Area Department (PAD) is to oversee the operations of the Internal Maintenance Department by strategically and efficiently planning of projects & labor allocations to maintain the cleanliness of the resort.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
