  Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  Operations Management :

  • Monitor & Execute operational activities going in the Terminal:

  1. Rail/Terminal Operations
  2. PFT Operations
  3. Export & Import Operations
  4. Gate Operations
  5. Warehousing/Bonding Operations

  • Ensure Planning with a flair of adopting emerging trends & addressing industrial & geographical requirements to achieve profitability norms.
  • Skilful in developing the logistics network for ensuring seamless, cost-effective movement of consignment and timely delivery of shipments in both commercial & operational activities
  • Expertise in managing the cargo operations procedures, service standards for business excellence.
  • Ensuring proper monthly MIS on operations enabling complete insight into P/L
  • Analysis of the daily planned movement.
  • Review of SOPs for Improvement of ICD/Domestic Functions.

  Sales and Marketing:

  • Required to place emphasis on customer centric approach to effectively reduce errors in internal process.
  • Need to keep in close touch with the Corporate Office on matters regarding Sales.
  • Customer Relationship Management & Supply Chain Management
  • Focus on Sales team to ensure after sales service for maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring competitor market analysis for keeping abreast of prevalent market structure and enhancing market penetration.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Creating system of weekly progress report

  Liaison and Coordination:

  • Incumbent would have high content of liaison work to ensure efficiency in operations.
  • Liaison with Statutory Authorities
  • Customs
  • Indian Railways Authority
  • Frequent liaison work involving state government authorities
  • Co-ordinate the CHA, Agents, Shipping Lines and Labour contractors for the smooth flow of the Operations.

  Commercial Functions:

  • Control System of Processing billing for all Commercial activities
  • Finalizing Credit for individual customers as per policies
  • Responsible for Debtors realization
  • Weekly/Monthly MIS

  Employee Management:

  • Setting benchmarks for various operation procedures and ensuring Manpower productivity
  • Cross functional coordination with Sales, Finance, HR, Operations, Transport, IT and many others
  • Staff supervision to manage and ensuring continuous process improvement & compliance.
  • Managing Work Environment and driving Culture of Inclusivity.
