- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and public affairs strategy that aligns with Nine’s objectives, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and communication channels.
- Serve as Nine’s primary spokesperson, managing media inquiries and public image.
- Develop and execute media outreach plans, including press releases, op-eds, and media pitches to secure coverage.
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to influence public policy and regulatory matters that impact Nine.
- Ensure that Nine’s public positioning is positive, forward- looking and is relevant to policymakers and our audiences.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate risks.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content across various channels, ensuring alignment with Nine’s brand and messaging.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Foster a transparent, positive communication culture within Nine.
- Plan and implement Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
- Actively guide the senior leadership team conversations on topics concerning our reputation and positioning.
- Develop key performance metrics, measurement tools, approaches, and systems to drive insights and performance.
- Experience in a complex organisation with diverse stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communications strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Strategic thinker with ability to develop robust strategies to grow and accelerate our ability to share news and stories about the company
- Media industry experience is desirable

Job Description
This is a unique opportunity for an inspiring and strategic leader to join Nine at a time of cultural and business transformation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for managing external and internal communications, media engagement (including publicity), political advocacy, and stakeholder relations across all Nine businesses.
You will successfully lead and develop the Regulatory, Public Affairs and Communications function, ensuring Nine’s Purpose, Vision, strategy and achievements are effectively communicated to both internal and external audiences, fostering trust, engagement, and support.
By integrating public relations, government affairs, media strategy, and internal communications you will play a pivotal role in positioning Nine as the leader in the media industry and advancing organisational objectives.
