      We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Retail to lead our owned retail channel for global equipment and apparel retail strategy. As the Director of Retail, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of retail strategies to enhance customer experiences, increase revenue, and elevate our brand presence across various markets.

      Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

      • Develop and implement comprehensive retail strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and market share for our equipment and apparel brands.
      • Conceptualize, explore and develop new retail experiences. Market test in global markets to determine viability and analyze profitability. Implement strategy as determined.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of retail initiatives.
      • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in retail operations.
      • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure retail performance, regularly reporting results to executive leadership.
      • Oversee the planning and execution of retail merchandising, visual displays, and promotional activities to maintain a consistent and compelling brand image.
      • Drive customer-centric initiatives to enhance in-store and online shopping experiences, promoting customer loyalty and satisfaction.
      • Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting and financial forecasting for retail operations, optimizing resource allocation and cost management.
      • Collaborate with real estate and construction teams to strategically expand the company's retail footprint, considering new store openings and renovations.
      • Build and maintain key market retail relationships, negotiate terms and contracts
      • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
      • Lead, mentor, and influence a diverse team of regional and country-specific retail managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
      • Performs other responsibilities and projects as required

      Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

      • Strong understanding of global retail markets and trends, with a track record of successfully expanding retail operations into new regions.
      • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
      • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
      • Proficiency in retail software, inventory management systems, and point-of-sale solutions.
      • A passion for golf or familiarity with the sporting goods industry is highly desirable.
      • Understanding of retail operations, infrastructure, systems, etc.
      • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
      • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build/maintain relationships and collaborate with employees of all levels and global cultures
      • Proven ability to facilitate meetings and present complex concepts to key stakeholders and management
      • Understand big picture objectives while also being detail oriented.
      • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) with experience performing ad-hoc financial data analysis

      Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field; MBA is a plus.
      • 12+ years proven experience retail strategy experience, within a multinational organization
      • 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably within the sports equipment, apparel, or luxury fashion industry.

      Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

      • Primarily office environment, consistent computer use
      • Ability to work extended hours as necessary to support global markets in their local business hours
      • Occasional domestic & international travel required (up to 25%)
      • Light physical effort equal to lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

      TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000 . Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
