Conducting comprehensive risk assessment strategies across diverse portfolios from small businesses to complex mid-market clients
Providing effective daily leadership, coaching/mentoring, and motivation of staff
Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with brokers and/or customers
Understanding and applying best business practices toward advanced risk management techniques
Post-secondary education in Insurance Management or a related field.
Progressing towards or having completed CDS, CIP or CRM designations.
15 years of experience within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry (or related field)
Property, Casualty, and/or Commercial Auto experience
Previous people leadership experience
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

As a Director, Risk Services Commercial Solutions you will be responsible assisting in defining and implementing the strategic direction of Risk Services from a regional and national perspective. The Director is also responsible for managing and ensuring the appropriate provision of Risk Services advisory, consulting, training, and education services in the Western Region and managing the operational day-to-day functions of the department and staff.
The objective of the position is to improve Northbridge’s Commercial Solutions Risk Services’ capabilities for underwriting risk selection, customer safety solutions, and to ensure Northbridge is positioned as an industry leader in customer experience and safety.
In this role, you will provide recommendations and input to National Risk Services, direct all activities to ensure that the department is operating as maximum efficiency, and provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your direct reports.

The salary range for this role in Vancouver is $125,000 - $150,000.
