      Job Description

      The Director of Sales and Operations Planning is a pivotal role responsible for leading the supply chain and operations processes to ensure alignment across sales, finance, and operations to drive operational efficiencies. This position develops strategic initiatives to improve demand signals, inventory health, and supply chain optimization to meet customer expectations while minimizing holding costs. The director will collaborate across the organization to develop and implement strategies that enable teamwork, improve efficiencies, and support business objectives.

      This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and is based in Irvine, CA, with functional guidance from the Head of the Planning Center of Excellence (CoE).

      Key Responsibilities include:

      1. Leading strategic planning: Develop and implement supply chain and operations strategies aligned with company goals, including demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and leading the S&OP process.
      2. Managing inventory: Oversee inventory levels, implement tracking systems, and optimize turnover rates. Prepare monthly reports on inventory, E&O, PFAS, and forecast projections. Create an open-to-buy model aligned with inventory budgets and revenue performance.
      3. Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions within sales and operations.
      4. Leading initiatives to streamline operations and boost productivity.
      5. Team leadership: Manage and mentor planning professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and customer service. Support CoE requirements and meetings.
      6. Monitoring KPIs: Track OTIF, revenue, orders on hold, backorder resolution, and other KPIs supporting the CoE.
      7. Backorder management: Work with supply operations to report and resolve back-ordered products promptly.
      8. Data analysis and reporting: Use data insights to inform decisions and drive improvements.
      9. Participating in leadership: Contribute to the supply chain and operations leadership team, supporting the strategic vision.
      10. Supporting S&OP/IBP initiatives: Build the team, processes, and tools necessary for success.
      11. Engaging with senior leadership through monthly S&OP meetings and cross-functional collaboration with departments like product development, commercial, and finance.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; MBA or PMP is a plus.
      • Minimum 10+ years of supply chain experience, including forecasting; at least 5 years in leadership roles.
      • Strong analytical skills, familiarity with supply chain planning tools, manufacturing concepts.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Office, SharePoint, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), Power BI, and planning tools.

      Compensation: Annual salary $160,000 - $180,000, based on experience and other variables. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K, PTO, holidays, gear discounts, and more.
