      Overview

      Topgolf’s Director of Security, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment to protect all Topgolf Players, Playmakers and company assets by developing and implementing security programs and processes in Topgolf venues and offices and for Topgolf Playmakers while traveling internationally. The Security Director will evaluate current security processes and leverage new technology, industry trends and best practices to continuously improve, advance and elevate Topgolf’s loss prevention and security operations across the globe. This leader will conduct evaluation of the daily threat picture and will continuously assess security risk for Topgolf and ensure leaders and department stakeholders are briefed as necessary.


      Responsibilities

      • Protect Topgolf Players, Playmakers and company assets by innovating and leading all security and loss prevention strategies including security of venue operations, security incident and fraud investigations, access control and surveillance systems, emergency management and security communications.
      • Create and manage Security budget for all Topgolf venue locations utilizing a combination of proprietary guard forces and third-party guard services, providing quarterly updates to the forecast.
      • Design, select and manage all security and surveillance system third-party vendor relationships, conducting regular business review and periodic RFPs to ensure performance to established standards and cost effectiveness of services.
      • Lead Security team members in collaboration with Safety, Risk Management and HR business partners to conduct investigations related to security policy violations, threats of workplace violence, loss prevention, property loss or reputational security matters, ensuring proper reporting, evidence chain of custody, retention of surveillance and communication to company stakeholders and law enforcement.
      • Make decisive, sound, high quality decisions on escalated security issues, accurately judging the urgency, response and need for further escalation
      • Maintain the existing relationship with Topgolf Callaway Brands Global Security to leverage the scale of the combined organization in negotiations for services and products, drawing on security resources, and driving enterprise consistency in risk management, when appropriate.
      • Support the International team in security travel needs including providing real time counsel for international travelers dealing with a safety or security issue and commit resources to their safe repatriation.
      • Develop and grow team members through mentoring, coaching and feedback including cultivation of relationships and collaborative partnerships with peers, law enforcement and public safety agencies and corporate resources.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree in BSBA or Criminal Justice field, required
      • Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related, preferred

      • 12+ years experience in security/ loss prevention field in a multi-unit company, including minimum of 5 years of experience in a program/department leadership role
      • 10+ years proven experience leading and managing physical security to include threat and vulnerability assessments, mitigation strategies, major event planning, executive protection, and workplace violence in a multi-unit organization
      • 10+ years experience conducting fact finding and admission seeking interviews (Wicklander-Zulawski certified)
      • 8+ years experience with crisis management, emergency preparedness planning and business continuity with proven capability in incident response and de-escalation
      • 8+ years valid/current security, crisis management, or resiliency industry certifications
      • Proven blend of business acumen, independent judgment, technical expertise, and leadership skills
      • Effective communicator with a positive leadership voice, ability to influence and readiness to communicate direction
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on use of data and metrics to manage the business
      • Ability to handle/manage rapidly changing priorities in a changing environment with a sense of urgency and professionalism
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
      • Work in busy and noisy environment with possible dirt, dust and other environmental factors including working outside in heat, cold, wind, etc.
      • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Google and internet skills
