      What you'll do...

      About the Role

      Walmart’s Global Security, Aviation, and Investigations organization is looking for a Director of Risk Intelligence to join the IROCC (Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center), the analytics center of excellence for Global Governance. This position supports Walmart’s US and International businesses with enterprise risk management (ERM) reports, threat assessments, situational reports (“sitreps”), and similar intelligence products to identify and mitigate risks that could impact critical business operations, safety, and security.

      This leader oversees a team of risk intelligence professionals who work quickly to interpret available data through the lenses of their experiences, professional training, and Walmart’s risk intelligence framework to deliver timely and relevant risk assessments. The team also provides proactive and post-event evaluation of geopolitical, criminal, and societal drivers of crisis events to inform our risk mitigation strategy.

      What you’ll do….

      • Lead and guide: Oversee a team of risk intelligence professionals who support multiple internal clients; provide real-time feedback; define and measure risk intelligence program metrics and outputs
      • Set the standards: Provide clear expectations on individual assignments and long-term goals; review and provide guidance on assessments, reports, and deliverables; drive best practices, quality control, and ensure work product meets the needs of our partners
      • Build trusted partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with key leaders; cultivate a collaborative environment which thrives on feedback, lessons learned, and which continuously seeks input from both internal and external sources
      • Adapt quickly and resourcefully: Manage competing demands and shifting priorities; effectively support team members to meet challenges
      • Drive continuous improvement and growth: Manage and assess emerging tools and technologies relevant to day-to-day work; sponsor programs and initiatives that improve adaptability and continuous learning within the team and our business partners

      What you’ll bring….

      • Experience with security risk intelligence in either the public or private sector
      • A strong track record of leading cross-functional teams
      • Understanding of complex risk assessment processes and best practices
      • Deep expertise on geopolitical issues
      • Expertise in risk detection and mitigation tactics
      • Comfortable with critical decision making in uncertain situations

      Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Risk Management, or related field and 5 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area. 1 year’s supervisory experience.
