- Lead the development and implementation of an organic social media strategy and integrated content calendar across social, web, and email platforms.
- Oversee long-term strategy planning, including setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), performance benchmarks, and aligning all social efforts with business objectives to optimize performance and brand engagement across platforms.
- Ensure consistency of brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all digital channels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (paid media, PR, insights/research, programming, promotions, etc.) and external partners to drive cohesive messaging.
- Stay ahead of digital trends-continuously research, test, and implement new social media tools, formats, and technologies.
- Manage and mentor the social media manager and support the development of internal creatives, writers, and influencers.
- Oversee budget management related to organic content production, agency partnerships, and tools.
- Regularly analyze and report on social media performance using various tools and dashboards to inform future strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy and digital content development, preferably in retail, entertainment, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven success in developing and executing high-impact social media campaigns with measurable results.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads) and their evolving algorithms.
- Proficient with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Google Analytics, native platform analytics).
- Strong project management and organizational skills with experience managing a content production budget.
- Comfortable capturing or appearing in content, or collaborating closely with influencers and creators.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and growing creative teams.
- Decisive judgment skills to balance brand relevance and social trends with corporate responsibility and brand integrity.
- Passion for film and deep knowledge of upcoming movie titles and trends in the entertainment industry.
- Experience leading the evolution of brand messaging, content development, and strategic planning.
- A background in owning or influencing day to day decision-making for guest-facing communication across social media platforms.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize a digital content calendar across multiple channels, balancing business priorities and audience engagement.
- Experience negotiating with agencies, influencers, and freelancers, including managing contracts, resolving service concerns, and addressing conflicts effectively.

Job Summary
The Director of Social Media Strategy leads the development and execution of our organic social media and content strategy. This individual will ensure that all digital content aligns with business objectives, supports brand growth, and maintains consistency across platforms. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, creative storyteller, and proven leader who is passionate about connecting brands to audiences through compelling, innovative, and data-driven social media content.
