      Description

      The Director of Special Projects Service Line is a pivotal leadership role responsible for supporting and standardizing key non-financial business/operational functions for the Service Line across both the hospitals and the clinic infrastructure. The leader will function alongside the service line executive team to ensure quality care for patients, financial success and growth of the service line.

      The role encompasses a wide range of duties related to:

      • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data which may be the basis for significant decisions and coordinating work related to projects and initiatives on behalf of leadership.
      • Developing project plans, maintaining timelines, and providing frequent updates to pertinent individuals or constituents.
      • Preparing communications to inquiries from staff, patients, families, or community members on behalf of leadership.
      • Developing presentations and communications on a variety of topics for mass release as appropriate and in partnership with leadership.
      • Leading task force groups on a variety of topics of significance to Emory Healthcare.

      Specific responsibilities are likely to include a broad cross-section of core clinical operations and operations-adjacent activities in the following areas:

      • Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Public Administration.
      • Must have previous healthcare experience in system, inpatient, or practice setting.
      • Must have participated in a healthcare internship, fellowship program, or residency (during or after degree attainment).
