      PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develop effective organizational talking points and communication strategies.
      • Have a solid working relationship with senior leadership within the Bills organization.
      • Assist and facilitate crisis public relations situations on various levels.
      • Develop impeccable professional working relationship with internal and external media covering the Bills.
      • Proactively manage media relationships and develop short and long-term communications plans for non-football Buffalo Bills and Highmark Stadium matters.
      • Work with ownership and leadership on communication strategy, deliverables and ensuring messages are in-line with organizational directions, standards and expectations.
      • Facilitate proactive media relations efforts and respond to media requests as needed.
      • Produce new communications strategy, materials, and presentations.
      • Prepare individuals for interviews with the media by giving them proper messaging and talking points while informing them of topics the media may cover.
      • Proactively pitch and facilitate story ideas that positively portray our organization.
      • Prepare announcements of news regarding our organization and stadium.
      • Facilitate the logistics of interviews and press conferences (whether it is in person or on Zoom) when necessary.
      • Oversee additional projects involving the new stadium.

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or related field is required.
      • 5-7 years of corporate communications and media experience.
      • Ability to professionally communicate, solve problems, foster ideas and develop strategies while representing the communications department in and out of the organization.
      • Strength in leadership, collaboration, and fostering teamwork.
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills is required with demonstrated ability to communicate thoughts, strategy and campaigns clearly.
      • Must demonstrate a positive-minded personality and be able to interact professionally with all members of our department, media, ownership and staff.
      • Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete tasks in a high pressure environment.
      • Availability to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
      • Must be collaborative with a demonstrated ability to align communications strategy to organizational goals.
      • Must be detail oriented, organized with strong time management skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe-in-Design, and Photoshop is required.

      SALARY RANGE: $87,683 to $146,139 Actual salary will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
