- Responsible for helping implement the strategic business plan vision for Statement and consumer experience in the US marketplace alongside a team of brand experts across PR, Social, Digital
- 100% partner facing and supporting partner facing calls
- Day to day, this position will guide and be the voice of all marketing and go to market plans to support launches or moments for our partner with on time in full execution both internally and to the consumer
- Day to day, this position will guide executional plans within the PR/Social/Digital channels for Edison Chen + Pharrell Williams + Bad Bunny
- Internally, this position will partner alongside the Entertainment product managers and merchandising teams to create cohesive and consistent go to market plans, inclusive of marketing and communication plans
- Managing and controlling all budget related to this partnership at $5+ a year MWB
- Maintain ownership / relationship with external agency partners
- Ability to move with speed via partner asks but also within confines of the adidas brand mission and morals
- While responsible end to end for all marketing plans – inclusive of strategy / objectives / social / retail / digital / apps / events / key cities / seeding / and more – this team will interface with key market comms leads to bring these plans to life and with final approval from partners
- Will show up at key internal milestones to provide transparency on where this partnership is heading multiple times yearly
- Ideate comprehensive action plans for all BU communications projects with the aim to maximize brand and partners visions with (new) product exposure while maximizing efficiencies.
- Envision communication opportunities, with elongated plans and planning as well as opportunities that came from the partner last minute to help execute within adidas strategy
- Select and steer global and local agencies across projects and activities for the business unit: agency briefing process on go-to market plans / tactics / media prior to content shoots
- Create and manage an operational model on how we execute and deliver marketing in-full, on-time and within budget across all functional partners (markets / social / digital / PR)
- Create continuous cadence of transparency with key internal stakeholders to ensure pro-active approach is felt within a large organization
- Ideate post-campaign evaluation performance by conducting or coordinating research and tracking project development, collating results into regular quality reports.
- Grow and lead a team of individuals during a challenging business / macro-economic environment
- Maintain close strategic ties with Global Brand, Brand Expression and Global Originals leadership.
- Manage resources to create effective comprehensive multidimensional plans.
- Lead the development of seasonal reviews & recap key learnings in advance of future seasons.
- Responsible for being a financial steward of the adidas brand and ensuring project budgets are accurately forecasted, managed and executed.
- Deliver all launches & activations OTIF.
- Manage a team of 6 people and develop their career paths
- Good interpersonal/communication skills.
- Experience with omnichannel strategies and solid trade marketing and retail marketing campaign delivery.
- Ability to manage and / or collaborate with internal and external cross-functional groups: product marketing, communications, social, digital.
- Understanding of consumer messaging and brand reputation.
- Understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion/entertainment industry.
- Level of strategic thinking and strong presentation skills.
- Organizational skills
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, PR/Social or a related field.
- 10+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
- Speaking Spanish a plus.

- Employees are eligible to earn an annual bonus based on both company and personal performance. - The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $137,000-$188,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
- We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The working location of this position is Los Angeles, NYC, or PDX.
- Though our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
DIRECTOR, Storytelling (STATEMENT)

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION
The Director, Storytelling (Statement Originals) establishes the multi-season marketing strategy for our Entertainment collaboration partner business, while leading a team in the development & execution of seasonal priorities and initiatives.
The Director Storytelling strategizes the development of an integrated, through-the-line, marketing communications package to support adidas’ global and Entertainment partnerships collaboration with Pharrell Williams / Bad Bunny / Edison Chen. This includes large scale global product drops yearly in addition to other opportunities that are mutually beneficial to both adidas and the partner’s brands.
This role manages one partner from a full integrated comms angle while supporting all 3 partners by leading the PR/Social/Digital Brand Marketing teams. These teams serve to support the integrated plans of all 3 partners, including full year launch calendar, cultural moments that matter to the brand / partner and helps to ensure any opportunities ladder up to the positioning of each partnership.
